Royals Greet Their Subjects at Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste

Hall High School singers haul out the ermine for an annual tradition that runs through Saturday.

The 23rd annual Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste runs through Saturday at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, giving the choral department a chance to show off its skills.

Alex Nee, who plays the king, is a senior at Hall High School and has been doing this for a few years.

"This is my first time as King though," Nee said.  "The acting part is different but I love it."

The acting refers to the play that unfolds, as the king is kidnapped by the jesters at the feast and the queen leads a ragtag group of men to save the king. The antics had the senior citizens at a Wednesday preview laughing.

Lorri Cetto, director of the Hall High Choral Department, directs the show and participates in costume as well. At Wednesday's show, she thanked parents for their support and involvement. For information about Friday and Saturday's performances, call 860-232-8226.
