Avon Arts Association Artist of the Week: Robin Simpson

The Avon Arts Association will host its 47th Annual Arts & Crafts Show September 20-21. Every week we will feature one of the artists who will be exhibiting and offering their work for sale at the show.

Robin is our fourth Artist of the Week. She designs and fabricates works in stained glass and fused glass. Robin's background in fine arts and her love of color are evident in her unique creations.
Robin drew on her commercial work experience to open her own business. She now offers a variety of original pieces including cabinet doors, large or small panels and windows. She also designs and creates fused glass jewelry and other accessories. She often interprets clients' photos for personalized custom work. Robin's glistening art will be made even more beautiful in the September sun (which we have already ordered).
Artists and craftsmen may reserve a space now by going to our website and downloading an application at www.avonarts.org. Click on the calendar tab. Applications should include three pictures of the artist's or craftsman's works to be juried. Entrants will be notified of their acceptance within four weeks after receipt of their application. If not accepted, fees will be refunded.

Proceeds from the sale of show spaces will be used to support college scholarships for qualified high school art students from the Farmington Valley (Avon, Canton, Farmington, Granby and Simsbury).
