The Learning Or Leisure Club of West Hartford Center will have a Kids Fair on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The after-school and tutoring center is for middle and high school students, located in the historic former Noah Webster Library building at 7 North Main Street, on the corner of North Main and Brace Road.
Saturday’s activities will include indoor activities, face painting, balloons and much more, including free give-aways. Special discounts will be offered on Saturday to anyone who registers for Summer Camp and reserves a spot for fall after-school care. Free tours of the impressive Learning Or Leisure Club will also be available.
The state-of-the-art facility offers a safe, comfortable environment for middle and high school students to tackle their studies.
“There is nothing more important than a child’s education, and the LOL Club puts learning first. We work with students to improve study skills, provide expert tutoring, and support their academic work. Then, when the homework’s done, our activities allow students to relax and enjoy some leisure time in trendy, fun and safe surroundings,” said Aldith Flanaghan, founder and owner of the innovative facility.
A caring and talented professional staff provides support in 6 academic subjects, ranging from science and math to world languages. The facility also offers a newly updated and expansive lounge for students to relax and have fun – after their homework is done!
Equipped with the latest technology and academic resources, the goal is to help students succeed. Extended hours daily, and transportation from West Hartford schools is available.
Visitors to the Learning Or Leisure Club on May 4 will receive a one-day complimentary pass to “test-drive” the program – and see how the Club can supplement and support their child’s education. Special summer programs are available, and plans can be made now for the 2013-14 school year, at affordable weekly or daily rates.
