[Updated] Suspects on the Run after Armed Robbery in West Hartford

West Hartford Police are seeking three suspects in a Monday armed robbery at Solid Gold Jewelers in West Hartford.

West Hartford Police are actively seeking three suspects who allegedly committed an armed robbery Monday afternoon at the Solid Gold Jewelers at 18-A Kane St. in West Hartford. The incident was reported at 1:46 p.m.

According police, witnesses reported that two men with handguns "entered the store, hopped the counter and stole jewelry that was hanging on the back wall."

One of the suspects is described as a black male, wearing black sneakers with white soles, dark blue Adidas pants (with the stripes down the leg), black jacket, 
black hoodie, and a black ski mask.

The other suspect is also a black male, reportedly wearing torn or worn jeans, black ski mask, and black hoodie.

Another person was involved in the incident as driver of the getaway vehicle, but no description has been received yet.

Police said the getaway car, a silver Nissan Altima with tinted windows and a dealer plate, has already been abandoned and was recovered at a location on Prospect Ave. in Hartford.

According to police, there were four employees and one customer in the store at the time of the robbery. No one was injured. 

Police have not yet determined what was stolen.

This is the second armed robbery of Solid Gold Jewelers to occur in the past two months. In April, four suspects were charged for the March 30 incident.
