2012 Stand Against Racism

YWCA Hartford Region is partnering with the City of Hartford and the Connecticut Multicultural

Health Partnership to host its own Stand at City Hall, 550 Main St. Hartford on April 27th from 1 p.m – 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Mayor Pedro E. Segarra will kick off the event.  “Recent events have reminded us of this country’s painful history of racism, and how far we still have to go to in dealing with it,” Mayor Segarra said. “I applaud YWCA for hosting this event, and encourage everyone in the Greater Hartford region to participate in any way possible in those efforts that meaningfully combat racism and embrace our diversity.”
