A.C. Petersen Farms in West Hartford to Reopen Friday

Popular eatery was closed since Tuesday morning due to a small fire.

A.C. Petersen Farms will be reopen for business on Friday, Nov. 29 at 7a.m., according to owner Catherine Denton.

The popular eatery was closed since Tuesday morning after a small fire ignited near a fryolator. The fire, which was extinguished by the sprinkler system, did not cause much damage, but did require some cleanup and the health inspector’s approval.

“We have had restoration and cleaning crews there day and night since the fire, and [Wednesday] evening we received the approval to re-open from the Health Department,” Denton wrote in an e-mail to Patch. “We look forward to serving our loyal customers over the holiday weekend.”
