CT Casinos Report Less Slot Machine Revenue and Wagers

Wagers and revenue have been declining at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun in recent months.

Two Connecticut casinos reported declines in slot machine revenue and wagers, comparing June of this year and June 2013.

Wagers and revenue have been declining at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun in recent months, with a few exceptions.

Foxwoods reported 5.3 percent less money was wagered this year at its slots compared to last year, shifting from $505.9 million to $479.1 million, according to a news release.

Slot revenue at Foxwoods was $37.7 million this June, a 13.1 percent decrease from June last year, when slot revenue was $43.4 million.

Mohegan Sun reported about a 10 percent shift in money wagered, from $640.4 million in June 2013 to $574.9 million in June this year, according to the casino's slot report.

Mohegan Sun saw slot revenue of $45.3 million this June, about a 10 percent decrease from last June's $50.5 million.
