Blue Plate Special Diner Event

Come on in for a tasty breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and toast, coffee and orange juice! After breakfast, Executive Director Chris Dobbs with share his presentation, "Wagon Wheels and Stainless Steel: The Architecture of the American Diner". He will trace the architecture of the American diner from wagon to Pullman car, streamliner, and eventually rocket. Notable West Hartford diners will be included in the presentation. Dobbs has been a fan of diners for many years and recently published an article on diners for Connecticut Explored magazine. Pre-registration is required. Please call the Elmwood Senior Center at 860-561-8185 for reservations. Tickets are $10 for members of the museum and the Elmwood Senior Center and $12 for the general public.
