More than 1,000 Line Up for Nordstrom Rack Opening

First Connecticut location opens at West Farms Shopping Center in Farmington.

The parking lot at West Farms Shopping Center was full again Thursday morning for the first time in years. The plaza was flooded with shoppers from across Connecticut, eager to take advantage of the giveaways or just take part in the excitement of Nordstrom Rack's opening day.

The line began forming long before the 9 a.m. opening, and wound around the plaza from Nordstrom Rack's front doors past TJ Maxx and Sports Authority.

Nordstrom Regional Manager Pat McGowan estimated that more than 1,000 people had waited to check out the new store.

You can check out the opening in our video above and if you braved the scene today, add your photos to the gallery and tell us what you found.

Just drove by and 70% of the parking area was still full. Amazing.
