'Tastes and Toasts' Returns to West Hartford Later This Month

The weekly series in Blue Back Square benefits a variety of local charities.

West Hartford has become known for its restaurants, and the management of Blue Back Square has found a way to combine that popularity with an opportunity to fundraise for various local non-profits.

A seasonal warm weather favorite fundraiser – Tastes and Toasts – returns to town on May 29, from 5 to 9 p.m., with Besito playing host and the Junior League of Hartford as the beneficiary.

Guests who purchase an admission button at the host restaurant for a $10 donation to the charity are afforded discounts on drinks, appetizers, or meals at a variety of Blue Back Square establishments.

“Blue Back Square has grown into one of the area’s most popular destinations for an evening out,” said Barbara Lerner, Marketing Director for Blue Back Square in a news release. “Tastes and Toasts offers a great opportunity to  tour Blue Back restaurants and sample some of their featured offerings.”

According to Blue Back Square, on May 29, some of the offerings with an admission button include:

  • Besito will be serving up half price margaritas and all appetizers, excluding guacamole.
  • Preferred seating with no wait at Cheesecake Factory
  • Free 50/50 appetizer with purchase of two burgers at Counter – Custom Built Burgers
  • Half off bar a la carte menu at Flemings
  • Buy one get one half off at Moe’s Southwest Grill
