Chocolate Fest & Barbershop Quartet

If you’re a chocolate fan, this event is for you! It promises samples of chocolate, crafts for kids and if I’m not mistaken, the picture attached to post about the event is that of chocolate-covered bacon.

If you’re still not sold, this might sway you — it’s free to attend and there’s a barbershop quartet performing songs! The Chocolate Fest is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Whole Foods Market Bishop’s Corner, 340 N. Main St., West Hartford. Visit the event post for more info.

“Hey Mom & Dad, I Made You Dinner”

Your kids could be saying that very sentence after taking one of Pond House Café’s cooking classes for children! The next one is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 1555 Asylum Ave., West Hartford.

The class is for children ages 10 and older and costs $40. They’ll learn how to make Ramen noodle mash-up, chicken tenders and more. Check out the Pond Cafe website for more info!
