West Hartford Chefs Celebrate Connecticut Farms

Jones Family Farm in Shelton was the site of a fundraiser for the Connecticut Farmland Trust.

Chefs from three West Hartford restaurants were among the 48 food providers who participated in the 11th Annual Celebration of Connecticut Farms held at Jones Family Farms in Shelton on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Adam Greenberg from Barcelona, Billy Grant from Grants/Bricco, and Jorge Alfanso and Erick Williams from Plan B Burger Bar joined fellow chefs from other Connecticut restaurants, as well as 41 different farms and producers from throughout the state, to prepare dishes featuring Connecticut-grown ingredients and to raise funds for the Connecticut Farmland Trust.

Fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, dairy products, wines, and craft-brewed beers were among the Connecticut-grown ingredients expertly combined into delicacies worthy of any award-winning restaurant.
