West Hartford Resident Named Vice-Chair of State Law Resources, Inc.

Janemarie Murphy of Murtha Cullina is appointed.

West Hartford resident Janemarie W. Murphy, director of legislative operations for Murtha Cullina LLP’s government affairs group, was recently named vice-chair of State Law Resources, Inc. (SLR).

SLR, an international network of independent law firms, helps businesses, trade associations and public policy coalitions navigate the complex and time-consuming process of managing both legal issues and state government relations.

As vice-chair of SLR, Murphy’s responsibilities will include serving as chair of the marketing committee where she will oversee SLR’s internal and external communications projects and strategies.

Murphy will also be work closely with SLR’s network to facilitate referrals and more efficiently service member firm clients in other states.

Murphy has served as an SLR board member since 2009.

A member of Murtha Cullina’s government affairs group, Murphy's expertise in state and municipal government is coupled with her extensive experience with community groups and in public interest negotiations. As director of the group's legislative operations, Murphy is responsible for ensuring that client's interests are advocated vigorously before the Connecticut General Assembly.

Murphy provides the government affairs group clients with comprehensive and integrated services ranging from legislative and administrative lobbying to the creation and implementation of client-based public policy and grassroots strategies designed to achieve successful results.
