West Hartford To Be Home To New J.McLaughlin Clothing Store

New York-based clothing chain to open July 18 in West Hartford Center.

New York-based clothing chain J.McLauhlin will open an 800-square foot store at 981 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford Center on July 18.

It will be the fifth J.McLaughlin store in Connecticut. The chain has 83 stores overall.

"J.McLaughlin is thrilled to be opening our West Hartford store," J.McLaughlin co-founder Jay McLaughlin said in a press release. "Connecticut has been good to our brand and expanding to the Central part of the state seemed like a natural move.

"West Hartford is the perfect landing spot for us. Its mix of traditional New England charm with sophisticated city culture speaks to our signature style. As with all of our stores, we are looking to create an inviting and unique shopping environment, providing differentiating product for our customers and becoming an active presence in the community."

The design of the West Hartford store features all of the elements of the trademark J.McLaughlin store experience: an inviting feeling with distinctive architectural details, furnishings and décor, including paint finishes derived from the signature JMcL palette.

The store showcases J.McLaughlin's wear now collection for women and men.
