Brad Kane to speak at Region’s Premier Business Energy Conference

The Hartford Business Journal, the only audited weekly, subscription-based business publication in Connecticut, is proud to announce that its Green Guide editor Brad Kane will keynote at this year’s ‘What’s the Deal: 21st Century Business Energy Conference’ on Thursday, October 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell, CT.

“We are extremely proud of Brad,” said Gail Lebert, publisher, Hartford Business Journal. “The opportunity to keynote a conference of this caliber is a testament to his reporting skills and we are delighted to have him share our organization’s perspective on energy reporting.”

Kane’s morning keynote, ‘The Green Boom: How Media Covers a Controversial Industry,’ will kick off a day of conversation around the future of business energy in Connecticut.  Previous conference morning keynotes included Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Dan Esty, Commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and Senator Joe Lieberman.

“Hartford Business Journal has been a leader in covering Connecticut’s industry for several years now and stepped up further last year with the launch of the sustainable business publication Connecticut Green Guide,” said Brad Kane, Managing Editor, Hartford Business Journal and Editor of Green Guide. “I’m grateful to CBIA for the opportunity to give energy leaders a peak behind the curtain of how we cover their industry for our audience.”

The ‘What’s the Deal: 21st Century Business Energy Conference’ will offer attendees a comprehensive overview of how Connecticut’s energy landscape is evolving and how companies can take advantage of new energy opportunities. Some key take-aways will include what’s happening in the natural gas accessibility, renewable power, infrastructure expansion, business incentives and financing, regional, state, and deferral energy policy and its impact on Connecticut business as well as the competitive market place.
