INTENSIVE EDUCATION ACADEMY HOSTS SPECIAL NEEDS RESOURCE FAIR ON SEPTEMBER 7th
The Intensive Education Academy, Inc., located at 840 North Main Street, West Hartford, will host its second community wide Special Needs Resource Fair on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair is free of charge to the public and IEA offers free parking on the school grounds and along Mohawk Drive.
IEA is seeking organizations and individuals to participate who are available to assist special needs families. These include, but are not limited to, Doctors, Lawyers, Estate Planners, Advocacy Groups, Equipment Specialists, State Agencies, Outpatient and other Treatment Providers, Summer Camps, After School/Recreational Programs, Peer or Family Support Services, Educational Programs/Support Services.

IEA is a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph and a state-approved special education facility serving children in grades K-12 from towns in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The academy, founded in 1971, encourages its students to accept and value themselves in an academic environment that motivates, challenges, and satisfies each of them. Through assessment and development of individual education programs, students are encouraged to develop their inherent potential in order to prepare for their futures.
