Nonprofit Conference to Highlight Innovation and New Ways to Partner for Success

The Connecticut Association of Nonprofits (CT Nonprofits) will host its 11th Annual “Partners In Progress” Nonprofit Conference on Tuesday, October 29th at the CT Convention Center. The conference theme reinforces the notion that there are untapped resources and dynamic new ways of thinking about nonprofit programming and sustainability.

“Nonprofits have faced several years with tight budgets and increased demand for services,” said Mark Berardi, Director of Membership & Training at CT Nonprofits. “By focusing on the innovative strategies and creative ideas that have helped nonprofits to streamline and evolve, we hope to offer nonprofits real-world, practical knowledge that they can use to strategize and remain sustainable. The Conference is also an opportunity for nonprofit attendees to meet prospective strategic partners and learn from their peers.”

Best selling author and youth advocate, Wes Moore will keynote the event. Moore, a Rhodes Scholar and Army combat veteran is also a social entrepreneur and host of the television program, Beyond Belief on the Oprah Winfrey Network. His first book, The Other Wes Moore, published in 2011, continues to be a New York Times best seller.

In addition to a keynote address by Wes Moore, the Conference will feature a morning keynote by the President and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, Tim Delaney, as well as nine seminars on topics including nonprofit technology, development, strategy, personal branding and more.

Attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event valued at $10-$20 for donation to the NBC Connecticut Joy of Sharing Toy Drive. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the exhibit hall will open at 8:45 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
