ENTHUSIASM!! It's POTENT! It's MAGICAL! It's INFECTIOUS!

Let's generate and spread some excitement, y'all!

Wow.  Marveling at and diggin' how a little enthusiasm can totally change my world around.  No surprise there. After all, "[E]nthusiasm moves the world." (Arthur Balfour)

Yes, ma'am, "[e]nthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars...It is the sparkle in your eyes...the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas." (Henry Ford)

When I got out of bed this morning, I was trying to motivate, I really was.  But I was a little grumbly, still emotionally hung over from last night's negative vibe spun by deflating communications from a number of folks, and inattention from others.

I've been trying to keep up the life energy flowing to various family members in need and also to creative projects languishing from lack of resources.  (Hang in there, babies!  Mama's trying to feed you....).  And attempting to maintain positivity and excitement.  It can be challenging and lonely, no?

Then, BAM!  An unexpected, show of ENTHUSIASM for one project.  What a gift!  Same for kind comments about the blog!  Transfusion of sizzling energy--yowza! So grateful.

Sure, we need to generate enthusiasm for ourselves, but we all get low on our fuel supply at times.  Life buffets.  Sometimes we just need a jump start.

It's crucial to be able to spread some excitement around when we're able.  Just embodying zeal can inspire our fellow travelers. But also, when we enthuse about others' hopes and lives, we give them a priceless boost.  We all know how fantastic it feels to be seen, appreciated, encouraged. Fed.

And the fab news is that enthusiasm is infectious!  Like right now.  The support I received singlehandedly triggered my writing this fervid post (compare to my glum locale an hour ago).  Jet-packed, I'm then going to bake some cookies to give away, to jump start someone else.  I'm pumping up the tunes for tonight's class and jamming as I bake.  Yeah, baby.

After all, "[t]oday is life--the only life you are sure of.  Make the most of today.  Get interested in something.  Shake yourself awake.  Develop [or cultivate] a hobby.  Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto." (Dale Carnegie, with my bracketed addition :)).

If that's not enough, Ralph Waldo Emerson's bubbly wisdom: "Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing great was ever achieved."

But first, I'm raising my cup of tea enthusiastically to YOU and your dreams.  I'm sure they rock.  To you and them, best wishes and joy!  Shine on....
