THANKS FOR THE RUN!!!

With only a few days left until Election Day, it is time to look back and see how far we have come and to thank the many people who have supported the campaign.

Following the nomination in July, we first had to learn how to run a campaign.  Thanks to Denise Hall and Burke Doar for showing us how and for all of their encouragement. Campaigning involves so many things – fundraising, designing lawn signs, palm cards, mailers, drafting content for print and social media, a video profile, a televised debate on WHC-TV, written answers to questions from the League of Women Voters to the Patch, speaking to local organizations, meet and greets, and visiting thousands of homes all across town. I am sure I missed some things, but you get the idea. Just writing it makes me tired.

Running the campaign is a team effort so I have many people to thank. Thank you to my wife, Stephanie, my three girls, my three law partners and good friends (Kathy, Pete, and Jim), and Kevin Adams my Treasurer.  Thank you to the many people who have contributed to my campaign, displayed lawn signs, knocked on doors, wrote endorsement letters, advised me on social media, and encouraged me with calls and emails. Finally, thanks to my fellow candidates for taking the time to run and wanting to give back to our town.

For some reason, voter turnout drops off significantly for municipal elections even though the decisions made by our town government touch all of us.  The right to vote is one of the most important rights we have.  Please exercise that right on November 5th.
