Coaches may think they have heard every excuse in the world when team members attempt to explain why they were late to practice.
"My car was being attacked by turkeys," is probably not one of the most common excuses.
But, that is exactly what Conard High School senior Shannon Bouvier told gymnastics coach Laurie Scinto Wednesday afternoon. And she had the video to prove it.
Two large and very agitated turkeys pecked at Bouvier's tires and tried to block the progress of her car down Orchard Rd. Bouvier said this was not the first time it happened, but this time she has proof for the disbelievers.
