Conard Students to Host Trick-or-Treat Event

Conard High School's Kids Helping Kids Club is hosting 'Trick or Treat Street' as a safe and fun event for young children, and it's also a fundraiser for several local programs.

Local children can dress in costume, satisfy a need to amass vast quantities of candy, and support West Hartford's Food Pantry and the Lose the Training Wheels camp all at the same time.

From 4 to 6 p.m. on Halloween, next Wednesday, Conard High School's Kids Helping Kids Club is hosting "Trick or Treat Street," an indoor trick-or-treating event for children ages pre-kindergarten through grade 3.

More than 50 student volunteers, all dressed in "non-scary" costumes, will welcome the younger children in 20 classrooms on the first floor of Conard, each planned around a theme. Kids can trick or treat from classroom to classroom, being entertained and collecting candy in a safe and fun environment.
