Daily Five: Cinderella Auditions, Hartford Marathon Cheer Stations

Things you should know about in West Hartford on Sept. 20, 2012

1. Some actors want to play the ingenue (ie. Cinderella), while others want the laughs (ie. the Evil Stepmother). Which one are you? Find out today as Poppins Childrens Theater continues its auditions for "Cinderella" at 4 p.m. at Saint James Episcopal Church. Children 8-16 are eligible.

2. A support group for birth parents, adoptive parents and adult adoptees meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Universalist Church in the Brown Conference Center, second floor.

3. Are you a good motivator? Do you love to cheer on those in pain? The Hartford Marathon is looking for volunteers for its Team In Training Cheer Stations at the Hartford Marathon on Oct. 13. Hey, you get a T-shirt, too!
