Daily Five: One Direction, Sweat for Free

Things you should know about West Hartford on Sept. 19, 2012.

1. You don't know you're beautiful? Well, you are, so don't miss a chance to have heartthrob British boy band One Direction tell you so at Mohegan Sun on Nov. 30. Youth Journalism International, a Connecticut-based, educational non-profit organization, has a limited number of tickets available to the sold-out show in exchange for a donation to the cause. 2. It's not every day you get an offer to "sweat for free," but that's what New York Sports Club is promoting today. The club says, "All NYSC locations will allow non-members looking to sweat it out to use their facilities throughout the day, celebrating their 38 years of fitness in the Tri-State area. Attendees are invited to come try a new class, meet with instructors and experience the fitness facility first hand."

3. Have you been wondering how to make cocktails with fewer calories to preserve what you just sweated off at the gym? Maximum Beverage invites customers to a educational session tonight from 5 - 7 p.m. at the store.
