Daily Five: Yom Kippur Begins at Sundown

Things you should know about in West Hartford on Sept. 25, 2012

1. Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, begins tonight at sunset. West Hartford Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday for the holiday. Check our directory for the local synagogues that host services and events.

2. Tequila! Besito will host a complimentary tasting of premium tequila tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. The restaurant will also feature the signature cocktail, La Paloma Margarita, throughout the evening.

3. Under the sea, anyone? The Connecticut Family Theatre is holding auditions today and tomorrow for "The Little Mermaid."
