Detours Will Return to Boulevard Next Month

The MDC construction project will resume and eastbound traffic will be detoured during working hours.

The following construction update has been received from the Town of West Hartford:

Beginning, Monday, April 1, the Metropolitan District (MDC) and its contractor, Baltazar Contractors Inc., will resume work on the sanitary sewer replacement on Boulevard, between Woodrow Street and Newport Avenue. In similar fashion to work completed in December and January, Boulevard (Eastbound) will be detoured during normal working hours (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Weather-permitting, the MDC anticipates this work to be completed by the end of April 2013.

There will be minimal disruptions to sanitary sewer service in the area during this time, and residents will be notified 24 to 48 hours in advance of any service disruption.

Further notifications will be providd as the work progresses.
