Find Out How and Where to Hike in the Winter

Clouds will creep back with rain possible.

As the clouds increase, so does the temperature -- slightly. The National Weather Service says we'll see a high close to 50 degrees with a small chance of rain in the late afternoon. Showers are likely overnight, with some patchy fog expected early on Wednesday morning. Rain could be heavy on Wednesday.

If the impending rain doesn't scare you away, bundle up and head out to on Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. for a presentation called, "How and Where to Hike in Winter." The store promises advice on how to dress and what to bring in cold weather, and the presentation will include suggestions on hikes in the area.

If you're over 55, you're invited to a drop-in hoops session at the . "Hoops for the Over-55 Set" meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays between noon and 1 p.m., starting Tuesday and ending March 31. The fee is $2 for members and $5 for non-members.

If your first language isn't English, don't forget to stop by the on Tuesdays for "casual conversation" in a relaxed environment. The group meets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
