Mother Nature's April Fool's Day Prank

A last blast of snow — hopefully — from the winter of 2011.

Less than an inch of snow accumulated in West Hartford overnight into Friday morning, leaving a white and slushy reminder of the difficult winter that technically ended more than a week ago.

The National Weather Service is expecting the precipitation to turn into all snow later Friday morning then just rain after noon. Snow accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch.

There's a slight chance of snow tonight, with little or no accumulation, but Saturday looks to be mostly sunny with a high near 51 degrees.
