The statistics may surprise you. Real trees outsell fake trees by a 3-1 margin, according to the National Christmas Tree Organization.
But once you buy a fake tree, you don't have to buy another one for many years. So that leaves us wondering whether lots of people are putting their trees together from a box, or if most of us are still trekking to the tree farm or the local Lowe's to buys a live one, sap and all.
