Relay For Life of West Hartford to 'Paint the Town Purple' on April 6

Relay for Life West Hartford is raising funds and awareness for their cause and upcoming fundraiser by painting the town purple.

On Saturday, April 6, organizers hope to see purple ribbons everywhere.

Relay For Life of West Hartford wants everyone to know that the annual Relay For Life, supporting your American Cancer Society, will be held June 1 and 2 at Northwest Catholic High School, West Hartford.

Purple Ribbons will be sold by Relay for Life members at Blue Back Square, in the Center, at Bishops Corner, by Westfarms Mall and on your street.

In a news release, Relay For Life West Hartford describes the event as, in addition to being a fundraiser, an occasion for "remembering the loss of loved ones, celebrating those that survived, and fighting back against cancer." Organizers hope to encourage residents to join the American Cancer Society's efforts "to stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back."
