Section of Flatbush Ave. Closed for Water Main Installation
Road closure scheduled to last up to three weeks.
The Town of West Hartford is advising motorists that a section of Flatbush Ave., west of New Park Ave. will be closed for up to three weeks for installation of a 42-inch water main.
Construction was scheduled to commence on Monday, April 30, and impacts Flatbush Ave. from New Park Ave., to Goodsell St.
The work will take place from 6 a.m. through 10 p.m. daily, including weekends, but the road will remain closed 24 hours a day.

A detour to Talcott Rd. has been created. According to a release from the Town of West Hartford, Variable Message Signs will be used by the DOT to post notice of the detour.
