The "a long time ago part" was correct, but the store in this image was actually located right in West Hartford Center, at the intersection of South Main St. and Farmington Ave. – the spot currently occupied by Brueggers's Bagels.

The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "Allen Judd opened the first drug store in West Hartford Center in 1899. It was located on the southwest corner of Farmington Avenue and South Main Street. The store sold everything from drugs to candy and stationary. It closed in November 1926."
