Last week's question was "What Business Was in this Building?" Carole Lund wrote, "This is the Joseph Bishop Tobacco House built in 1858 near what is now known as Bishop's Corner," and she got it absolutely correct.

According to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, this building was occupied by Bishop Tobacco. "Joseph Bishop ran a successful business, buying and packing tobacco. In 1855 he built this warehouse just east of the intersection of North Main Street and Albany Avenue."
