Last week we asked a different kind of question: "What Was This Image Used For?" The photo is of the Quaker Hose Company, which was printed on the hood of the vehicle.

Thanks to Rick Liftig for starting off the comments this week! He guessed that perhaps the image was made to recruit more members. David Wadstrup did not know what the image was for, but said his father was a member.

This was definitely a tough one. The answer, according to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "Members of Quaker Hose Company #3 posed for this imagetaken in the fall of 1921. The image was used for the 1922 minstrel dance program."
