Last week we asked: "What Is Happening in This Image?" Tom Hine commented, "I think they are collecting hay on the site of the present Wolcott School and Park circa 1930."

Tony Guy said, "Farmers and horses have stopped working to pose for a picture."

Tom, you are correct that they are collecting hay, but unfortunately the site has not been identified. And Tony, you are also correct that the people and the horses appear to be posing for the picture.

The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "During the haying of 1918, West Hartford resident Charles E. Chaffee is seen on top of the hay wagon. The man in the front is not identified."
