Last week's question was "Who Was This Man?" and there was only one guess. Bob Nolte thought it was the Leatherman, a renowned character who traversed the Connecticut/Hudson Valley area between 1856 and 1889. I would have made the same guess if I hadn't received the official answer in advance!

Here's what the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society says about this image: "Not much is known about the mysterious man seen in this photo. He made his home in the woods near Meadowbrook Road and was known around town as Old Dutch John."
