Last week's question was "Who Was This Man?" and we only had one guess. Richard Patrissi knew exactly who was pictured in this image. "This is a picture of a good friend of my Dad's, Al Gledhill," said Patrissi, whose family owned a rival landscaping business, in West Hartford.

The answer provided by the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is, "In 1922, Albert Gledhill started his nursery and landscaping
business that continues to be a thriving business in town."

Looks like it could be Fern Park. Maybe that or Elizabeth Park.

Last night, Ronni Newton urged me to guess, even if I wasn't sure. I looked and I looked and I looked - Darn this looked familiar. Then it hit me, I think this may be the wading pool that is STILL in Beachland Park (off of Wolcott Road)! But there are a lot fewer trees in this photo.

And I'll take a second shot - Maybe this was Kennedy Park and the pool has now been filled in. Ok - my two chances are up. Time for someone else to guess!

It doesn't look like Beachland Park, since the terrain doesn't seem to match up. It's definitely a park though. It could be Kennedy, but I'm sticking to Fern.
