Why did you run for office?  I feel it is time for a change in leadership at town hall. The current leadership has become complacent. Raising taxes year after year without looking at cost savings is starting to take a toll on the people of West Hartford. When residents are talking about moving, then you know they do not believe they are getting any value in services in proportion to the taxes they are paying.

If elected what would be your primary area of focus?  My primary focus will be to keeping West Hartford affordable for young families, empty nester's, singles and senior citizens.

What do you feel are the biggest issues facing West Hartford?

  1. High taxes in relationship to our services, are we really getting what we are paying for?
  2. Unfunded retiree benefits.
  3. Complacency by town leaders.

What skills do you have that you could bring to the community?  I bring life skills having lived in West Hartford all my life. I have lived in many different neighborhoods in West Hartford,  I believes this give me a wider understanding of neighborhoods and what they are passionate about. In neighborhood’s I have not lived in, I’m making an extra effort to meet with people to understand their concerns as well. I will also bring leadership and business skills, having been a small business owner here in town.
