China: Boom or Bubble? Yale’s World Affairs Series at the Library on April 10

West Hartford Libraries continues its spring lecture series with a talk , "China: Boom or Bubble?” The lecture will be presented by Professor Valerie Hansen of Yale University at the Noah Webster Library in West Hartford Town Center on Thursday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. The program is the fourth lecture in the Country-by-Country series sponsored by Yale’s MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies http://www.yale.edu/macmillan/

Lecture by Professor Valerie Hansen professor of History at Yale, specializing in China to 1600, the religious and legal history of China, and the history of the Silk Road.  Her latest book is called, “The Silk Road: A New History” (2012). Register now at 860-561-6990.

Egypt: Wednesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Lecture by Professor Ellen Lust is an associate professor in the Dept. of Political Science and founding director of the Program on Governance and Local Development at Yale University. This talk is titled: "Egypt's Rocky Transition Path: From Mubarak to Sisi." Registration for Egypt starts April 10.
