Calling All Book-Loving Families for the Mandell JCC 3rd Annual Great Children’s Read; Sunday, November 11, 2012

Read, learn, and sing-a-long at the Mandell JCC 3rd Annual Great Children’s Read, on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT. This free event is presented by the Mandell JCC Jewish Book Festival, the Family Room Parenting Center, and the PJ Library.


The 3rd Annual Great Children’s Read will include a family sing-a-long, musical performances by the Mandell JCC Oliver! youth theater cast, special appearances by University of Hartford Women’s Hawks Basketball players, crafts, snacks, and a book sale. Additionally, local authors and personalities—including Janice Hechter (author of Hooray for Heroes! and The Great Elephant Escape), Janet Lawler (author of If Kisses Were Colors and Snowzilla), Vivian Newman (author of Ella’s Trip to Israel), JCC Staff Superstars, and WFSB Better CT Host Kara Sundlun—will read beloved children’s classics and PJ Library favorites aloud to young children and their families.
