Hartford Concerts for Charity Presents Music for Trombone and Organ: A Concert for Jubilee House

Hartford Concerts for Charities has announced it will present “Music for Trombone and Organ: A Concert for Jubilee House” at 8:00 pm on February 1, 2013 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.  Achilles Liarmakopoulos, the newest member of the internationally acclaimed Canadian Brass, joins Archdiocesan Music Director and Cathedral Organist Ezequiel Menéndez in what is sure to be an exceptional performance. A native of Greece and graduate of the Yale School of Music, Liarmakopoulos joined the legendary Canadian Brass in 2011.  He is an award-winning trombonist dedicated to performing a wide variety of musical styles and often premiers works by emerging composers who have written specifically for him.

Free will donations will be accepted at the door and 100% of proceeds from the February 1, 2013 concert will directly benefit Jubilee House.

Jubilee House is a ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Hartford’s South End celebrating its 15th year of service to the Greater Harford area. Its mission is to enrich the lives of people in the Hartford area by offering educational opportunities for adults and social services for post-resettlement refugees.
