Shabbat Across America With Famous A Cappella Group Pizmon!

Please join Beth El Temple as we celebrate Shabbat Across America on Friday March 1st.  We will begin at 6 pm with a special music service led by Pizmon.

Pizmon (the Hebrew word meaning the chorus of a song) is the coed Jewish a cappella group of Columbia University, Barnard College, and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Since its inception in 1987 as the first collegiate Jewish a cappella group, Pizmon has traveled to hundreds of communities in the New York metropolitan area, across the country, and around the world, to offer Jewish music as a source of inspiration and community outreach.  Through their identity as Jews and their love of music, Pizmon strives to be role models for Jewish youth. They are particularly proud of their diversity, with members originating from nearly every imaginable background and Jewish denomination.

Following the lively musical service, we will gather for a community dinner with Pizmon at 7:00 p.m. Dinner reservations are required. The cost for the dinner is $12 per person by Feb. 28 at noon by contacting the Temple office at 860-233-9696 or registering online at www.bethelwesthartford.org.
