The Mandell JCC Seeks Jewish Teen Athletes and Artists for Team Hartford for the 2013 Maccabi Games & ArtsFest; Informational Meeting Monday, January 7, 2013

This summer, join Team Hartford as a group of athletes and artists travel from the Mandell JCC to Orange County, CA for the 2013 JCC Maccabi Games & ArtsFest. An informational meeting about the 2013 Maccabi Games & ArtsFest will take place on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.


The Mandell JCC is seeking Jewish athletes and artists. Maccabi Games athletes must be 13 to 16 years old and interested in playing baseball, basketball, bowling, in-line hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, or volleyball. ArtsFest participants must be 13 to 17 years old and interested in acting and musical theater, dance, rock/jazz music, sports broadcasting, visual arts, or vocal music. The program is open to both Mandell JCC Members and community participants.


The JCC Maccabi Games have been in existence since 1982, and in 2006 the ArtsFest component was added. Team Hartford will be leaving for the Games on August 4, 2013 and will return on August 9, 2013.
