Free Drive-Thru Electronic Recycling & Paper Shredding Day Sponsored By American Eagle FCU

American Eagle Federal Credit Union is hosting a free paper shredding and electronics recycling day, Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, at our East Hartford branch at 417 Main Street. Credit Union members and non-members are welcome.


Paper Shredding Guidelines  



  • What you CAN bring:

    • up to three (3) grocery-sized paper bags or boxes with all office paper and file folders, including staples, clips, and rubber bands
       

  • What you CANNOT bring:

    •  binders, plastics, CDs, DVDs, metals, or common trash

Electronics Recycling Guidelines



  • What you CAN bring:

    • (unlimited)- computer electronics (CPU's, monitors, laptops, printers, faxes, servers, modems, keyboards, cables/cords, and mice); telecommunication equipment and televisions. 


  • What you CANNOT bring:

    • batteries, air conditioners, light bulbs, kitchen appliances (including microwave ovens), freezers, and clothes washers/dryers.
