Free Electronics/Appliance Recycling Event

Get rid of your unwanted electronics at an event hosted by Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2080 Boulevard in West Hartford on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9:00am – Noon. (enter from Ridgewood Road Entrance)

This event is open to everyone. Coffee and assorted goodies will be available. Free will donations will be accepted to benefit the mission of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Items accepted include televisions, computers, printers and IT peripherals, toner and ink jet cartridges, mobile phones, VCRs, DVD players and stereo equipment, kitchen appliances (EXCLUDING Refrigerators), power tools, cables and wires, microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, video gaming systems, air conditioners, refrigerators, hard drives, VHS tapes, DVD and CDs, and other items with an electrical cord.

Items that can NOT be accepted include items containing mercury including light bulbs, thermometers and thermostats; smoke detectors; fluorescent light bulbs; wood; carpet; or fabrics; gasoline powered engines/motors, household batteries; hazardous chemicals (paints, solvents, herbicides, etc.); NO ITEMS with freon such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
