Glad Tidings!

In the season of celebration and goodwill City Singers of Hartford brings to our listeners Glad Tidings.  Tidings of Joy in exhilarating arrangements accompanied by suspended bells, flute, oboe, harp, pipe organ and percussion; Tidings of Peace in motets from the 16th - 20th centuries that have uplifting and timeless messages, and Tidings of Comfort in familiar carols from around the world with an invitation for audience participation.  The program includes works by J.P.Sweelinck, Morten Lauridsen, John Tavener and G.F. Handel, as well as as choral settings of traditional Welsh, French, German and English carols.  This performance will add a traditional dimension to your holiday experience...so mark your calendars!  Thhis concert will be performed on Dec. 14 and 21 at 4:00 p.m. at this location.
