Health Care Reform Expert Visits West Hartford Library: Nov. 12.

Health care reform expert Randi Oster will answer all your questions about health insurance at the West Hartford Public Library on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30pm.

A key provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the requirement to buy health insurance, also known as the individual mandate. The mandate states if individuals are not covered through their employers, they will be required to purchase health insurance on their own. Failure to be covered will result in a financial penalty (though there are some exemptions).

This special program will answer these questions and more:
• What are the top 10 changes I need to know about?
• How much will the new insurance cost?
• Will I qualify for health insurance premium subsidies?
• What is the penalty if I don’t purchase insurance?
• Does my business have to offer me insurance?
• What happens if I am already covered?
• Will my Medicare deduction change?

Presenter Randi Redmond Oster is a leading speaker on Health Care Reform and has a broker’s certification for the CT Health Insurance Exchange.

The program is free, and will be held in the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room, 20 S. Main Street in West Hartford Center. Park in the nearby Isham Garage and bring your ticket to the library for validation.

RESERVE your seat by visiting http://bit.ly/healthcare12nov  or by calling the library at 860-561-6990.
