Four members of the Connecticut General Assembly who all
recently completed their first terms in office, will talk about “If I Only
Knew: Lessons from Campaigning to Holding Office” in a discussion presented by
the University of Hartford’s Governor M. Jodi Rell Center for Public Service on
Monday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public,
will be held in Wilde Auditorium in the Harry Jack Gray Center, on the
University of Hartford campus, 200 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford.

Speaking at the program will be Rep. John Hampton (D-Simsbury), Sen. Art
Linares (R-Westbrook), Rep. Brandon McGee (D-Hartford), and Rep. Lezlye Zupkus
(R-Prospect)
, who were all first elected
to the State Legislature in 2012.

Marilyn Rossetti, a former member of the Hartford City Council and a
University of Hartford alumna, will serve as moderator of this discussion.
(Note: This past November, Rossetti published an opinion article in the Hartford Courant providing advice to
newly elected public officials.)
