Improv Cage Match at Playhouse on Park

WEST HARTFORD-The comedy competition returns for the new
year! The CT Improv Cage Match’s second round will take place at Playhouse on
Park. Two improv teams go head-to-head in a comical showdown, where the
audience decides the winner! This is the second of six matches, as part of a
collaboration between Playhouse on Park, Hole in the Wall Theater, and Hot
Cocco Productions. The winner of this match goes on to the next round, which
will take place at the Carriage House Theatre.

The two competing teams for the evening will be Julia &
Jeffrey (the winners from the previous round), and The Great Make Believe
Society of Middletown. Having performed together with the Sea Tea Improv
troupe, Julia & Jeffrey are both graduates of the improv training program
at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. Founded in 2012, The Great Make Believe Society creates
live performances utilizing the art of improvised theater, and provides
workshops to help people be in the moment and celebrate life.

The 2nd CT Improv Cage Match takes place January 10th
at 8:00 pm. Tickets are priced at $10, general admission. This is a BYOB event.
