JTCares About Those Who Came Before Us

This program will focus on the Jewish value of showing honor to people who have died.  Teens in grades 8 through 12 will meet at The Underground for lunch and to learn about obligations and ritual practices surrounding death.  Then, they will travel to the Emanuel Synagogue's cemetery in Wethersfield to clean up the grounds to help others in their time of need and show honor to those who are no longer with us.

Cost is $36 and includes lunch, learning and community service project.  Community service certificates are issued at the end of the program.
