WEST HARTFORD, CT- To kick
off its fifth anniversary season, Playhouse on Park presents one of William
Shakespeare’s most renowned tragedies, Othello.
This brutally honest, two-hour telling enters a world of war that we know all
too well, and shows the power that love, jealousy, passion and pride have over
our lives...and how no one is safe from the consequences of these passions!
This production will feature
RJ Foster as the title role of Othello, Tom Coiner as Iago, Celine Held as
Desdemona, and Jennifer Polansky as Emilia.Mr. Foster’s recent film/TV credits
include Guiding Light, Fringe, Damages, Blue Bloods,
and Made in Jersey. He has also
performed in Hamlet at Pearl Theater
Company and Twelfth Night at Bristol
Riverside Theatre. Mr. Coiner’s past appearances include Colorado Shakespeare
Festival (Dromio of Ephesus in Comedy of
Errors), National Theatre Conservatory (Jacques in As You Like It, Vershinin in Three
Sisters) and the TV series Boardwalk
Empire. Ms. Held is a graduate of NYU Tisch, where she has portrayed Lady
Macbeth in Macbeth and Sylvia in Two Gentleman of Verona. Ms. Polansky was
recently seen as the title female role
in Classical Theatre Project’s Romeo and
Juliet.

Also appearing in Othello are Ted D’Agostino
(Lodovico/Duke of Venice), Aidan Eastwood (Cassio), Emily Kron (Bianca), Troy
Peckham (Montano), Austin Seay (Roderigo), Rob Tromp (Brabantio), and Patrick
David Wheeler (Gratiano).

Performances run October 2nd-20th.
Opening Friday performances will include a wine and cheese reception. Sunday
performances will include a talk back with the cast and crew. Preview tickets
are $15. Standard tickets range from $22.50-$32.50, with discounts for
students, seniors, and Let’s Go Arts members. Students rush tickets are available
15 minutes before curtain ($10 cash only with valid student ID). Subscriptions
for the Main Stage season, which includes Othello,
